Fundraising buffet benefit for Madison Lash

There will be a fundraising benefit for Madison Lash. It will be held at the Old Capitol View Restaurant at 401 West Gallatin Street in Vandalia. It will be held from 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday. 20% of sales and all tips will help Madison's family with her medical expenses. Madison Lash, who is 14 months old, was diagnosed with a rare disease (MDS) Monosomy 7. And, Madison underwent a bone marrow transplant on July 16th.

Back in January, we had a poll asking if you were or were not in favor of the proposed 1% sales tax increase to pay for a new Fayette County Courthouse and Jail. At the time, the vote was decidedly against it. But, upon further review, we wanted to see what your thoughts were now as we near the April 1st Election Day.
