EUGENE F. OWEN, 91, of Farina passed away August 9, 2020 at the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, IL.
Born April 12, 1929 in Farina he was the son of William M. and Lena Fair Owen.
He was a retired farmer, a member of Friedens Church of Christ in Farina where he sang in the Choir ,and the Farina American Legion,
He was also a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the Army.
He married Arlene Louise Bergman, May 27, 1952 and she preceded him in death on November 1996.
Surviving are his children, Bobby (Tammie) Owen of Farina, Darin Owen of Farina, Sharon (Michael) Hagy, of Vandalia,
Brenda (Rick) Yarbrough of Vandalia, Donna (Kent) Evans of Quincy,IL. and Rita Owen of Tucson Az.
9 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by a sister and one grandchild
A Private family funeral will be held at the Friedens Church of Christ with Dr. Jerry Gessell officiating and burial will take place in the Ambuhel Cemetery.
For those wishing to make a memorial the family suggest the Friedens Church of Christ or the Lutheran Care Center Transportation Fund
and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home in Salem who has been entrusted with the family’s care
