The better than 2 year process is nearly complete, as the City of Vandalia has the draft of their new Comprehensive Plan. City Council members had the draft of the Comprehensive Plan included in their packets for this week’s meeting and are asked to have read them before a Planning Commission meeting on November 4th at 5:30 pm, with the purpose of that meeting to review the updated Comprehensive Plan.
About 2 years ago, the Vandalia City Council approved a bid from PGAV of St. Louis for $45,000 for the new Comprehensive Plan. Part of that cost was covered by a $15,000 grant from Greater Gateway Association of Realtors, with Vandalia Realtor Sandy Michel instrumental in helping to get the grant for the City of Vandalia.
