Meanwhile, State Representative Blaine Wilhour was on hand for the Fayette County Board’s Truth in Taxation Hearing on Thursday evening. Wilhour had several questions and concerns for DeLashmit. Wilhour was not pleased with the proposed tax levy increase and he also wasn’t pleased with the way the meeting had to be conducted.
Nine members of the Fayette County Board were on hand for the meeting. But, County Board Chairman Jeff Beckman said the way the statute is written for Truth in Taxation Hearings, they were not able to directly address any questions as a board.
