The Fayette County Hospital District announced on Monday that it has selected Sarah Bush Lincoln of Mattoon to oversee its operations. In a release from Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, it says that Sarah Bush Lincoln is purchasing Heartland Health System Inc., the corporation that operates Fayette County Hospital and Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care. The announcement states that all employees will retain their jobs, including Fayette County Hospital CEO Greg Starnes and CFO Lionel Montoya and the sale was final on Monday. Fayette County Hospital will continue to own the building, and Heartland Health System, Inc., now wholly owned by Sarah Bush Lincoln, owns the equipment and oversees the full operation of the hospital and long term care facility.
