Two of the three new Fayette Board members as well as three incumbents who were re-elected to new terms were sworn in on Monday morning at the Fayette County Courthouse. Judge Don Sheafor swore in new members Merrell Collins, who won as a write-in candidate in District 2, after John Daniels Jr. did not seek re-election and Joe Wills, who won the election for District 7 following Wade Wilhour not seeking another term. Also sworn in for another term were current board members Keith Cole for District 5, Glen Gurtner for District 6 and Glenda Bartels for District 7. Not present for the swearing in ceremony were new board member Deb Warner who was elected to the board for District 4 and current board members Jake Harris of District 1 and Chad Austin of District 2, who both were re-elected to another term on the board.
