Brownstown-St. Elmo 7th grader Sydney Stine secured the first piece of hardware for the Bombers at the IESA Class A State Track Meet on Friday. Stine finished 3rd in the 7th Grade girls discus with a best toss of 80’ 11”. 7th grader Addie McWhorter finished just one spot from a medal as she finished 9th in the high jump, clearing a height of 4’6” and Emma McNabb finished 31st in the 400m Dash with a time of 1:12.80. For the BSE boys, Lukas Miller and Dalton Lake competed in the prelims of the 110m Hurdles, however the IESA did not update the online results link to reflect the preliminary and semifinal round results.
Today at the meet, 7th grader Jade Whitehead will compete in the 80om Run while on the boys side, Taylor Smith will compete in the Discus, Levi Barker will compete in the 800m Run and the 4×1 relay team of Dillan Powell, Quinton Logan, Barker, Miller and alternate Smith will have their chance on the track as well.
