There is really no other way to describe today’s weather than it will be a crazy rollercoaster ride. We start off the day with temperatures in the 60s—reaching a high of 65 this morning. Then, temperatures will begin to fall after 8 am and drop into the lower 40s. During that time showers and storms are likely, with some severe storms possible. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says the cold front associated with this system will move thru the area this morning, with additional thunderstorm development likely ahead of the front and a few of the storms could be severe. It will also be extremely windy today. We start off with winds out of the south at around 25 miles per hour, but becoming northwest winds with gusts up to 44 miles per hour during the day.
