(Nauvoo, IL) — Illinois is one of three states where construction has begun on an oil pipeline that will carry crude from North Dakota’s Bakken oil fields to a storage facility at the Patoka tank farm. The Illinois portion of the three-point-eight-billion-dollar pipeline will begin in Hancock County in the Nauvoo area and cut across the county for 30-miles into Adams County. Work has also begun in North and South Dakota, but regulatory delays have prevented work from beginning in Iowa.
