(Neoga, IL) — The National Weather Service is confirming that at least three tornadoes hit central Illinois. Severe storms swept through the region Friday night into early Saturday morning. The National Weather Service says preliminary findings of a damage survey determined one EF-2 tornado started south of Neoga and ended a couple miles south of the Charleston/Mattoon airport. Two EF-1 tornadoes were also located around three miles north of Mattoon and in Paris, Illinois.
