We begin a week with multiple chance of winter precipitation.
Today we’ll see increasing clouds with a high of 38. Tonight we’ll see cloudy skies with a low of 29.
Tuesday we do have a chance of snow and there is also a chance of snow on Tuesday night. As of this time, we are not expecting any measurable snowfall from the Tuesday system in our area. Any heavier snowfall on Tuesday would be off to our south and southwest.
But, Wednesday looks to bring more to the area–at this time it looks like it will be in the form of sleet, snow and freezing rain hitting our area. Although we are not expecting a lot of snow—we have just a small chance of receiving as much as 2 inches—there could be some large travel impacts during the day on Wednesday. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a stronger winter storm will arrive Wednesday. Expect heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain, though where the transition between precipitation types will be is still uncertain
