(Washington, DC) — A conservative group is attempting to take action against an Illinois law that requires mail-in ballots to be counted for 14 days after Election Day. In a filing this week, the organization Judicial Watch asked the US Supreme Court to reverse federal court rulings that upheld the law. The request comes less than a month after a federal appeals court in Louisiana ruled that Mississippi’s law allowing mail-in ballot to be counted after Election Day violated federal law.
