Mike Hobler drops off petition to run for re-election for Vandalia Alderman, will have a contested race

The current longest tenured City of Vandalia Alderman will seek another term.

On Thursday, Mike Hobler turned in his petition to run for re-election.  Hobler has served as a City of Vandalia Alderman since May 29th of 1997.  Hobler will have a contested race as Charles “Chuck” Fitch has turned in his petition to challenge Hobler in Ward 3 in the April 1st Election.

Meanwhile, individuals still have today and Monday to turn in petitions for the April 1st Consolidated Election.
