The IHSA on Friday released the pairings for the upcoming boys basketball postseason set to get underway a week from today.
In 2A, Vandalia will host their own regional but will have to go on the road for their quarterfinal game. The #8 seed Vandals will travel to #6 seed Robinson on Monday, February 19 for a 6:00pm matchup. The winner will then advance to the semifinals to be held at Vandalia on Wednesday, February 21.
In 1A, four I70Sports area teams will be competing in the Altamont Regional. On Monday, February 19, #15 seed Mulberry Grove will take on #2 seed Altamont at 7:00pm at Altamont. The #10 seed South Central will be on the road for their quarterfinal game, playing at #7 seed North Clay for a 7:00pm start. #5 seed St. Elmo-Brownstown will get to host their quarterfinal matchup, as they will play Patoka-Odin at home at 6:30pm. The winners of Monday’s four quarterfinal games will play in the semifinals on Wednesday, February 21 at Altamont High School.
Also in 1A, the remaining two I70Sports area teams have been placed in the Okaw Valley Regional. #15 seed Ramsey will face #1 seed St. Anthony in Effingham on Monday, February 19 at 7:00pm. #10 seed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will also be in quarterfinal action on Monday, February 19 when they travel to #4 seed Arcola. The winners of the four quarterfinal games will meet in the semifinals on Wednesday, February 21 at Okaw Valley High School in Bethany.
