A big first half punctuated by a second quarter defensive effort helped lead Altamont to a rout of Hillsboro, 66-32, on Thursday night. The Indians got out to an early lead Eli Miller and Kaidyn Miller helped jump start the offense with six and four first quarter points for a 17-10 lead at the end of the quarter. E. Miller dropped in another 9 points for Altamont in the second quarter with Alec Jahraus, Kaden Davis and Dillan Elam hitting big 3-pointers as the Indians outscored Hillsboro 23-4 and were able pull away quickly for a 40-14 halftime lead. The Indians offensive onslaught continued in the third quarter with Kade Milleville and K. Miller leading the way with 8 and 6 points and Altamont would push ahead 60-30. A low scoring fourth quarter saw Altamont outscore Hillsboro 6-2 as the Indians rolled to the 66-32 win. Altamont moves to 11-4 on the season and will turn around and get right back into action tonight as they travel to North Clay for a National Trail Conference matchup.
