Our Baseball Team of the Year is the South Central Cougars.
Long ago, South Central baseball established themselves as one of the top programs in the area, if not the state. South Central put together another tremendous year in the spring of 2023. They started off the year winning their first 15 games. After a mid-season struggling spot, the Cougars rebounded to finish the season strong and then win the Regional Championship. They would advanced to the Sectional Championship before falling to Effingham St. Anthony. South Central finished the season with 25 victories.
