South Central baseball gets set for the Sectional Semi-Finals today.
South Central is now 23-6 on the season after their 4 to 1 win over Dieterich in the Regional Championship Game on Saturday evening at Lion’s Field in Kinmundy. South Central will be in a familiar location today, at Altamont, but against an unfamiliar opponent. South Central will take on the Purple Riders of Arcola today. Arcola is 14-4 on the season and defeated WSS 3 to 2 in the Regional Championship game on Saturday. Game time today is 4:30 pm. Meanwhile, the winner of today’s game will get the winner of today’s second game between Casey-Westfield and Effingham St. Anthony. St. Anthony advanced to the Sectionals after their 6 to 5, 12 inning victory over Altamont on Saturday in the Brownstown Regional Championship game.
