Mulberry Grove softball racked up 18 hits in a 22-3 rout of Father McGivney on Wednesday. The Aces came out hot in the first inning and got rolling with 7 runs being put on the board before even getting their first out of the inning. After another 6 hits and 8 runs, the first inning would end with Mulberry Grove holding a 15-2 lead. Father McGivney added a run in the top of the second to make it 15-3 before Mulberry Grove would add another two in the bottom half of the inning. After holding the Griffins scoreless in the top of the third, the Aces went back to work with another 5 runs to wrap up their scoring, holding a 22-3 lead. Father McGivney was again hold scoreless on the top of the 4th and the Aces would close out the win by way of the mercy rule. Callye Earnest racked up 4 hits in the game and 3 RBI while Micah Greenwood tallied 3 hits and 4 RBI. Jaclyn Robertson had 3 hits, one being a home run, and 3 RBI while Jenni Mezo scored 4 runs on 3 hits. Lily Johnson got the win on the mound, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits in the game. Mulberry Grove is now 2-4 on the season.
