The Altamont Indians saw their long winning streak come to end as they fell to Tuscola 64-38 in the NTC-CIC Clash at Altamont on Saturday night. Tuscola would open the game with a 6-2 run, but the Indians would match them point for point over the final three and half minutes of the first quarter as the Indians trailed 17-13 at the end of the quarter. Altamont would have a tough time scoring in the second quarter, being held to just four points and finding themselves behind, 31-17, at halftime. The Indians would open the third quarter with a 7-0 run in the first 1:42 to close their deficit to 31-24 but Tuscola would respond with a 13-4 run to take a 44-28 lead over Altamont with 2:54 left in the quarter. The Indians would then trail 48-32 heading into the fourth quarter and were outscored 16-6 as they fall 64-38. Altamont is now 23-4 on the season. They will jump back into National Trail Conference action on Tuesday when they host Effingham St. Anthony in a rematch of the NTC Tournament Championship game in which the Indians beat the Bulldogs 51-32.
