Pat A. Hagy died on February 7, 2023; Mrs. Hagy was the daughter of John B. Isbell and Genevieve Hawk Isbell. She married Norman Hagy in 1949; he preceded her in death in 2011.
A public visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. A private funeral will be held at Haley Chapel United Methodist Church and burial in Haley Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Hagy is survived by daughters, Pam and husband Paul Imes of Caseyville, Mary and husband Michael Halford of Vandalia; sons, Mike Hagy and wife Sharon of Vandalia and John Hagy of Vandalia; grandchildren, Tina and husband John Kaiser, Curt Braun and wife Nickie, Cory Braun and friend Brandy Tidwell, Jason Hagy and wife Kari, Kristin and husband David Bogart, Levi Halford and wife Kristina, Chelsea and husband Brian Stout, Andrew Halford and wife Crista, Ryan Halford and wife Kelli; great-grandchildren Bradyn, Ryan, and Lauren Kaiser, Michael and Conrad Braun, Gabe and Caden Tidwell, Brock Braun, Lauren, Matthew and Elaina Hagy, Drayden and Drexel Bogart, Nolan, Lily, Lola, and Ben Halford, Cecilia, Willow and Penelope Stout, Dylan, Owen, and Kaylee Halford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Jackie Tedrick, and grandsons Brian Hagy and Alex Halford.
Mrs. Hagy was an Illinois Bell Telephone operator in the late 1940s and early 1950s. She then became a full-time homemaker and mother. She was a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years at Haley Chapel Church. Pat loved her family dearly and cared for many children throughout the years. She enjoyed baking sourdough bread and pies. She was an avid Coca-Cola collector and gardener. She gave many rose bouquets in small glass Coca-Cola bottles to many friends over her lifetime.
