Vandals Wrestlers take 4th as a team, win 2 championships, at Litchfield Tournament


The Vandals Wrestling team wrapped up their regular season with a 4th place finish at the Rich Lovellette Invitational in Litchfield. Despite a rough start on day 2, 9 Vandals left with hardware as they went 5-4 in the final round. Dillon Hinton (132) and Eric McKinney (160) both finished first, while Wyatt Dothager (195) advanced to the finals before losing his first match bringing home 2nd place. Owen Miller (138) advanced to the semifinals before losing his first match, but bounced back to finish with 3rd place. Pierson Wilkerson (120) and Logan Nance (152) both finished 4th. Dominick Bone (113) and Justin Proctor (170) both ended their regular season with a win bringing home 7th place while Kaden Tidwell (182) fell in his final match to finish 8th. The Vandals will be back in action in the regional tournament next Saturday in Auburn as they search for their 29th straight regional title and the opportunity to advance to Dual Team Sectionals later in February.
