The Brownstown-St. Elmo 8th grade girls basketball team are Regional Champions for the second year in a row, beating Stewardson-Strasburg 35-31 on Friday night in title game of the 8-2A Stew-Stras Regional. This also makes the second year in a row that this group of girls have beat Stew-Stras in a Regional Championship as their 7-2A Regional title came via a 43-26 win over S-S last season. With the win, BSE advances to the Effingham St. Anthony 8-2A Sectional on Wednesday, December 7 at 6:30pm where they will face Dieterich.
