In a game that will feel very much like a playoff game, the Vandals will travel to Greenville tonight to take on the Comets.
It will be the 67th all time meeting between the two rivals. Coming into last year’s game, the Vandals had won 5 of the past 6 games in the series but the Comets won at Mark Greer Field last year, 42 to 21. That win a year ago got the Comets into the playoffs. And, the Comets are in the same situation this year as they come into tonight’s game at 4-4 on the season and needing a win to be playoff eligible. Vandals Coach Jason Clay says they expect a fired-up Comets team to come out tonight.
