During their monthly meeting on Tuesday evening, the Fayette County Board tabled an agenda item for the discussion and possible approval of a site application for a waste transfer station in the county. After the agenda item was read by Board Chairman Jenny Waggoner, a motion was quickly made to table the matter and to start discussion, Administrator Dustin Harmon of Bellwether explained that there is some language from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency to have transcripts available for review and said that language lists that transcripts have to be finalized and made available to the public for review and that had not happened. However, County Clerk Jessica Barker says that she has forwarded all letters and anything else that has come in to board members and has had the transcripts available for public viewing in her office. She relayed that there have been county residents in to view all information and that information was made and is available for all board members and the public to view. Several members relayed that they did not receive an email with the transcripts but had received the other correspondence. The motion to table to agenda item until the October 11 board meeting was then approved by a vote of 13-0 with one county board member not present for the meeting.
