Fayette County had 67 COVID-19 cases the week of 8/15 to 8/19—County remains at Medium Community Level

The Fayette County Health Department reports that in the work week period from August 15th through 19th, there were 67 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Fayette County with a positivity rate for that period of 15%.  In total during the pandemic, there have been 7,848 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Fayette County and 101 total deaths.

Meanwhile, for the second week in a row, Fayette County is listed as Medium Community Spread by the CDC.  Most area counties are now in Medium, with Bond County at the Low level and Marion County at High.
