(Springfield, IL) — The ten Community-Based COVID-19 testing sites in Illinois are closed. The Illinois Department of Public Health shut down the facilities yesterday due to a sharp drop in demand for COVID testing services and the anticipated end of federal funding. The sites carried out more than one-point-five million tests throughout their operation. Locations that were closed include Aurora, Bloomington, Champaign, Rockford, Arlington Heights, and Waukegan.
