The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City girls basketball team continues to pull out wins with the latest coming in the NTC/CIC Shootout with a 50-45 win over Tuscola on Saturday. The Bobcats fell behind 7-5 and trailed 23-16 at halftime. The third quarter was the difference in the game as CHBC came out strong and outscored Tuscola 18-8 to take a 34-31 lead heading into the fourth where they outlasted Tuscola for the five point win. CHBC is now 18-1 on the season with two nine-game winning streaks sandwiching their lone loss of the season. They will now head into the National Trail Conference Tournament as the #1 seed. They will play Tuesday at 5:30pm against the winner of the tournament’s first game between Windsor/Stew-Stras and Brownstown-St. Elmo.
