Tammy S. Bowling, 61, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at SBL Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 7, 2022, at Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Farmers Cemetery, Rural Shobonier, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, January 7, 2022, at Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Shriners Hospitals For Children. She was born July 30, 1960, in Flatwoods, KY, the daughter of Gary D. & Georgia Lois (Griffith) Tomlin. Married Jerry Dean Bowling on March 19, 1979 in Wise, VA. She was a homemaker, a School Bus Driver for Vandalia Community Schools and was affiliated with the Baptist Faith, formerly East Fork Baptist Church.
She is survived by: Her Parents – Gary Tomlin and Lois, Flatwoods, KY; Husband – Jerry Bowling, Vandalia, IL; Sons – Jake Bowling & Kristen and Adam Bowling, all of Vandalia, IL; Daughter – Tara Dothager & Josh, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren – Garrett, Connor, Addy and Griffin; Brother – Gary Tomlin II & Tracy, Knoxville, TN; and Sister – Jeri Andre, Flatwoods, KY.
Preceded in death by: Sister – Vickie.
