(Springfield, IL) — The state agency that grants medical licenses is apologizing to a Mahomet doctor and school board member over an investigation regarding his views on masking. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation issued the apology late last week to Dr. Jeremy Henrichs, saying they are recommending to the Medical Disciplinary Board that the matter be closed. The agency says they received a complaint after Henrichs expressed disagreement with the Mahomet-Seymour school district’s policy requiring indoor masking for all students. State Senator Chapin Rose says he is filing his own complaint with the Office of the Executive Inspector General alleging criminal intimidation of a public official and asking that Henrich’s legal fees be paid for.
