Illinois school districts will be making the call this fall on whether to require mask wearing. The recommended masking guidance for schools follows the recent CDC guidance. Governor J.B. Pritzker says the state will allow the decision to be made on the local level.
Marsha McClary is with the group Illinois Parents Union. She says kids getting COVID-19 rarely happens.
McClary says the decision to wear a face covering in school should be left up to the parents and students.
