Meanwhile, the potential for severe storms will be with us on Tuesday. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says Thunderstorms are expected to grow more numerous during the late morning across the region on Tuesday. These storms are likely to be sub-severe. The location of a cold front is the primary source of uncertainty as the better environment for severe storms will be south of this front. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats with these storms. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible, especially where storms track over the same locations repeatedly. There is a low threat for flash flooding.
