City of Vandalia continues to work to fill Economic Development Director position

The City of Vandalia is seeing some applicants come in for their vacant Economic Development Director position.

At this past Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, Alderman and Personnel Committee Director Bob Bowen said they now have 6 applicants for the vacant position and they will be taking further applications until May 9^th. The position has been vacant since 2021 when Amber Daulbaugh resigned. But, as Mayor Rick Gottman recently pointed out, the city has been actively looking and interviewed many candidates but the City Council has just not found what they believe to be the right fit at this point.
