Parker Bell, Blake Berg and Will Reardon each drove in three runs apiece as the Altamont Indians battled back for a 12 to 8 win over Tuscola at home on Tuesday. The Indians got out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning as Bell collected his first two RBI on the day with a single to right field. That lead would triple in the bottom of the third inning as Kade Milleville scored on a wild pitch and a Tuscola error on a pop fly allowed another run to score for a 4-0 Altamont lead. After a pair of walks loaded the bases, Berg singled to center field as he collected two RBI, bringing on Owen Reardon and Brayden Schnarre to score for a 6-0 Indians lead. Tuscola was able to put their first run on the board in the top of the fourth inning before busting their offense open with seven runs in the top of the fifth inning to take the lead over Altamont, 8-6. That lead would become a tie in the bottom of the fifth as the Indians scored a run on a fielder’s choice and a sacrifice fly from W. Reardon brought another run in for an 8-8 tie. A RBI single by Bell in the bottom of the sixth gave Altamont the lead back, 9-8, before Berg being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded scored another run and W. Reardon doubled to right field to drive in two runs and Altamont surged to a 12-8 lead. Those would be the final runs scored in the game as a scoreless seventh inning finished off the 12-8 win for the Indians. Altamont improves to 12-3 on the season and will be at home again on Thursday when they host CHBC.
