Heavy rainfall is on the way to the area Friday and this weekend.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says several waves of showers and thunderstorms will move through the area through the upcoming weekend. The greatest chance of rain will be Friday night through Saturday night. Some river flooding and flash flooding are possible this weekend. Estimates for our area show us getting up to 3 inches of rain this weekend.
