The Fayette County Board took care of several business issues during a brief monthly meeting on Thursday.
The approved the funding of an additional fully equipped squad car at a cost of $59,768. Fayette County Board Chairman Jacob Harris says the funds for the squad car will come from opioid settlement money. And, the board also approved the creation of a Veterans Association Commission.
On some other issues, the board approved the reappointment of Pam Parrish to a new 3 year term on the Board of Health and approved the appointment of David W. Petty as a Trustee of the Tri-County Fire Protection District. The board also approved the renewal of the liquor license for OB’s Place.
There was also discussion on main entrance door repair at the Fayette County Courthouse with a cost of $5,100. It was pointed out this was a budgeted item, but was being brought up just to keep board members informed.
