Fayette County Voters soundly reject 1% Sales Tax Increase for new courthouse and jail

Fayette County voters have soundly rejected a potential 1% sales tax increase for a new Fayette County Courthouse and Jail.  The money from the potential increase would have been used to fund a new courthouse and jail, that was estimated to cost about 44 million dollars.  But, voters said No to the sales tax increase.
