We are looking at clouds and mild conditions today.
We will see increasing clouds today with a high of 57. Winds from the southeast will gust better than 20 miles per hour today. Then, increasing clouds for tonight with a low of 52. Winds from the southeast will gust better than 30 miles per hour tonight.
Meanwhile, severe storms will hit the area on Wednesday afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says severe thunderstorms are expected Wednesday afternoon into early evening with the greatest threat across eastern Missouri and western Illinois. Severe thunderstorms may re-develop as early as late-morning but afternoon is prime time. All hazards are possible including large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. The greatest tornado threat currently is focused across southeastern and far east-central Missouri as well as southwest and south-central Illinois where there is a risk of strong tornadoes as well.
