Strong to severe storms rolled through the area on Sunday afternoon in two separate waves, bringing mostly heavy rains to the area.
Round #1 brought a storm that prompted a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for all of Fayette County during the 12 pm hour. This round brought strong winds, heavy rains and some small hail into the area. The second round came through during the 3 pm and 4 pm hours. The severe threat stayed just off to our south with this round of storms, but it brought plenty of heavy rains into the area. The entire area had also been under a Tornado Watch, but that was cancelled around 5 pm.
