We will be much warmer today.
We will see mostly sunny skies for today with a high of 80. Winds from the southwest will gust better than 35 miles per hour for today. Then, mostly cloudy skies for tonight with a low of 60.
Meanwhile, the unstable weather pattern will continue this weekend. We are looking at rain on Saturday and possibly a thunderstorm on Saturday night. Sunday will be more rain and thunderstorms with the threat for severe weather coming on Sunday.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says severe thunderstorms are likely on Sunday afternoon and evening across parts of the area. The timing of the storms is still somewhat uncertain. However, parts of eastern Missouri including the St. Louis Metro Area, as well as southwest and south central Illinois are under the greatest threat during the afternoon and evening. Hail in excess of 2 inches in diameter as well as damaging winds in excess of 70 mph are the primary threats. A few strong tornadoes are also possible.
