For the past couple of months, egg prices have jumped in Illinois and around the country, but a midwestern farm organization is skeptical of the price hikes. A dozen eggs were going for as much as $9 in the Chicago area. Sarah Carden is with the group Farm Action. She says consumers are outraged because eggs are an important part of the American breakfast table.
