We are looking at sunny skies for today with a high of 76. Then, we have a chance of a shower or storm tonight with a low of 55.
Meanwhile, severe weather will impact the area on Friday night. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a line of severe storms will move up to 70 miles per hour moving east across the area on Friday evening. The storms will not be over any location for very long. Damaging winds over 70 miles per hour that could produce significant wind damage will be the main hazard with the line. Tornadoes, some possibly strong, are also possible—as is large hail. The latest forecast map shows storms striking our area between 8 pm to and 10 pm on Friday night.
