(Springfield, IL) — State lawmakers are advancing a bill that would expand access to Alzheimer’s treatment in Illinois. The measure passed out of the House Insurance Committee yesterday. The bill would require anyone’s health insurance plan in the state to cover medically necessary FDA-approved treatments and medications to slow progression of Alzheimer’s disease. The legislation now moves to the House floor.
