Martha Gayle Rosenberger, 71 of Ramsey passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, in her home. She was born on October 3, 1953, in Decatur, IL to the late James & Louise (Storm) Carroll. Martha married Meridith Lynn Rosenberger on April 20, 1974, in Nokomis, IL and he preceded her March 9, 2019.
A 1971 graduate of Nokomis High School, Martha also attended Lincoln Land Community College from 1971-1972. She was a past member of both St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Nokomis, St. John’s United Church of Christ, Pana, and a current member of United in Faith Church, Pana, where she enjoyed playing with the bell choir and cooking for many church dinners and community events. Working for many years at Pryor’s Foods in Ramsey, she was also a homemaker who kept busy as a baker, a band mom for the Ramsey High School Marching Rams, and a 4-H leader of the Lucky Clovers 4-H Club. She loved volunteering in her daughter’s classroom as well as being a reading partner at Ramsey Grade School. She enjoyed watching the Ramsey High School Marching Band as well as the University of Illinois Marching Band of which she proudly proclaimed to be a band groupie. In 2013, Martha was honored to spearhead feeding the Marching Illini when they participated in the Pana Labor Day Parade. In recent years, she had the honor of participating in Wreaths Across America at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where she paid tribute to family members and other veterans interred there.
Martha is survived by her daughters: Cassie Rosenberger, St. Louis, MO, and Christa (Bobby Loebach) Rosenberger, Ramsey, IL; her sister: Laura Lea (Allen) Harrison of Vandalia, IL ; and multiple generations of nieces & nephews. She was also preceded by her son, Elijah Rosenberger on November 23, 2015.
Funeral services for Martha will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025, at United in Faith Church at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Leon Goff officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church. Burial will be on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
