Miss Fayette County Fair Queen 2024 Abigaile Ledbetter will compete at Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant.
The Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant will take place at the IAAF Convention held Jan. 16-19 at The Crowne Plaza in Springfield. Ledbetter will compete along with 73 other contestants from throughout the state.
Ledbetter is the 19-year-old daughter of Monica Ledbetter of Brownstown and Lucas & Megan Ledbetter of Altamont. She is attending Lake Land College to obtain a degree in Welding.
Instructions will be given for the weekend during the official roll call on Thursday at 1 p.m. On Friday, each contestant will have a personal interview with the five judges. This is a big part of the competition, because the title of Miss Illinois County Fair is a job. The 2025 Miss Illinois County Fair Queen will be an employee of the State of Illinois for the year. She will be the hostess of both state fairs in Springfield and Duquoin and travel throughout the entire state to other county fairs, and she will speak to the Illinois House of Representatives and Senate.
The preliminary competition is held on Saturday. Each contestant will compete in stage presence, beauty and physique, and speech and communication skills. Ledbetter will be competing in the afternoon group, which begins at 1 p.m.
Finals will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19. The evening will begin with a banquet and the production number, followed by introductions of all 74 contestants. The top 16 finalist will be announced. This is reserved seating only. The top 16 finalist slate will be wiped clean, and then compete in all phases of competition and answer three on-stage interview questions. Miss Illinois County Fair Queen 2025 will be crowned following this competition. A reception will follow coronation.
