(Chicago, IL) — Illinois is receiving 114-million-dollars in federal grant funding to support new electric vehicle charging stations across the state. That includes the Chicago area, Springfield, Metro East, and Quad Cities. The federal funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation will be used to build 14 truck charging hubs. Governor Pritzker also announced 39-million-dollars in state funding for more than 14-hundred charging stations at 242 locations in Illinois.
