Government attorneys may have a long list of questions for former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan when they meet in court Monday morning.
Madigan took questions from his lawyers and codefendant Michael McClain’s team last week.
Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Collins says the government has a seasoned group of attorneys, with prosecutor Amar Bhachu expected to cross-examine the former speaker.
Collins said Bhachu, in many respects, has been the architect of the investigation.
Madigan and McClain are charged with 23 counts of bribery, racketeering and official misconduct.
