We are looking at warmer weather during the week of Christmas, pretty much eliminating a shot at a White Christmas.
Weather outlooks had predicted warmer temperatures for next week and that does look to be the case. The current forecast for Christmas Eve says rain is likely with a high of 45. Then, more rain on Christmas Eve night with a low of 39. Rain should taper off on Christmas Day with a high up to 49.
Meanwhile, the first day of winter will be on Saturday and that means our shortest amount of daylight for any day of the year. Sunrise on Saturday will be 7:12 am with sunset at 4:38 pm. The daylight amount will then increase each day until we reach June 20th of 2025–the first day of summer—when we will have nearly 15 hours of daylight.
