(Springfield, IL) — A new hearing is scheduled to determine whether or not the former sheriff’s deputy charged with Sonya Massey’s murder should be released from jail before his trial. In July, a circuit court ruled Sean Grayson should be detained until his murder trial. This week, a state appellate court ruled that the lower court’s decision was wrong. Grayson is due back in court on Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday.
