We are starting off the work with rain.
Rain will be with us for a while this morning, then taper off and return later this afternoon and this evening. We’ll see a high of 69 today with winds out of the southeast gusting better than 25 miles per hour today.
Tonight shower and thunderstorms will hit the area with a low of 57 with winds out of the southeast gusting better than 35 miles per hour. Meanwhile, there is a threat of severe storms. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says after a break in the rain later today, a line of showers will track across the region this evening. A few thunderstorms are possible, and if they develop, may produce a weak tornado and 60mph winds in central Missouri. Winds outside of the storms will gust to 35mph overnight.
Meanwhile, colder temperatures are on the way mid-week. We’ll see highs just in the lower 40s beginning on Thursday with lows at or below freezing.
