(Lake Co., IL) — Lawyers for the Highland Park July 4th parade shooting suspect are asking a Lake County judge to ban hours of police interrogation video from the upcoming trial. During a court hearing yesterday, Robert Crimo the third’s defense argued that police violated his constitutional rights by not giving him certain information that may have prompted their client to stop talking. Crimo is accused of killing seven people and wounding dozens at the north suburb’s Independence Day parade in 2022. He is scheduled to stand trial in February.
